Review
At 21:12 Eraso! (a local band) took the stage and played for about 30 minutes their Machine Head influenced music sang in Euskera (local language). They kept the audience. Unfortunately, during their last song someone turned the lights on and the band was hurried to finish off their set list. This was a total lack of consideration and respect towards four youngsters trying to kick some ass before Slayer. Slayer have always been told by other fellow bands as good headliners towards the opening bands, in my opinion yesterday someone (hope not the band!) didn't behave well.

At 22:10 approximately, a rather familiar song was been played through the P.A. It took my mate (Unai "EL PATRON") and myself some seconds to recognise it; It was "Hand of Doom", the cover Slayer recorded for "N.I.B. II: Tribute Album for Black Sabbath. It was quite good to have one of their own songs to be used as an intro.

Seconds before the song was over the initial killing riff of "War Ensemble" nearly destroyed the house. The first third of the show was similar to the one they played in Milan nearly 10 days ago. Here again, Kerry played the first 3 songs with the nail-spiked armband.

They changed the order of some of the songs as well as ome songs were removed from Milan's set list; after playing Stain of Mind, they followed with one of the most intense atmosphere I've seen in my life. They played 4 songs in a row: Dead Skin Mask, Raining Blood, Altar of Sacrifice and Jesus Saves; the last three played exactly the same as in Decade of Aggression.

After that, one of the most evil songs ever written: Mandatory Suicide, followed by Chemical Warfare. Then, they had a break for about three-four minutes before finishing with South of Heaven and Angel of Death.

It's a pity they didn't play Seasons or Black Magic but I think we can't complain.

Final score: Slayer 10+ - Attendance 0. Very few people turned up for one of the most heavy gigs Iïve ever been to. No bullshit between songs and in-your-face energy during the one hour and a half that their performance lasted, and that's the way it should be.

As for the band, thank you, although Tom joked with me for asking him several times for a pick. At the end, it was only a joke; he came directly to me and threw me some picks. Gracias Tom!
