Date City Venue Country
June 16th 2000 London Earl's Court UK
Review
What a dissapointment after Rock City (Nottingham) last night. This wasn`t Slayer`s fault, they played well with a varied set of old and new songs, but the crowd here just wasn`t up for it.

A barrier seperated the floor, with only the first three thousand people allowed in front of it (and consequently in front of the stage). These people were very static, clearly only here to see Iron Maiden. Behind the barrier, some way back, all the Slayer fans gathered, moshing and slamming about but it just wasn`t right - the band seemed miles away with too many dis-interested people in between.

With no crowd reaction to feed off, the whole gig seemed a non event. I don`t think Slayer suit these big venues (Earl's Court holds 20,000), but they gave their all to a crowd not entirely bothered. For those interested - Iron Maiden were superb later on, good to see these guys back.
