I've been a Slayer fan for quite a long time now, and I've just read the
review for Earl's Court, and my conclusion is that I have to agree with
this fan since I've seen them in Paris and in London. The Paris gig was
amazing. Great sound (better than in London), great stage and songs (same
as in London) and last but not least there were real Slayer fans. Fans who
knew every song (exept "Here comes the pain") and who made this show so great.
Yes, unlike London there was real action in front of the stage. When they played Raining Blood, that was just the biggest pit I had ever seen. It just went absolutely crazy, with dozens of people moshing around. During the very beginning of South of Heaven, everyone was singing, just like they did afterwards with Maiden for Fear of the Dark. Angel of Death was the last song of this incredible show. Even Kerry thought that the French gig was exellent, when I talked with him as he was signing some stuff in a guitar shop near London Astoria the day after the Earl's Court gig. so once again I'd like to thank Slayer for "Slayerizing" Bercy, and all the French fans who know how to mosh around, and who always pick you up whenever you fall on the floor. That's so different from london. |
