Well I am writing the morning after the Slayer gig in Dublin. I only went
one nite but going by their performance last nite, I should have went the
two nites. Its been six years since they last visted Ireland but it was well
worth the wait. Didnt get to see much of Fu Manchu (Support band) but what I
heard sounded good.
Anway regards Slayer they started of with Mandatory Suicide which was brilliant. The mosh pit was one of the craziest I've seen in quite a while. I felt the sound could have been better. There was no let up from Slayer playing stuff like Dittohead, Postmortem, Hell Awaits etc! I had to go to the toilettes a few times to throw some water on myself to cool down. Some dickhead decidee to throw a plassic bottle at Tom Araya which Tom barely missed. Tom was a bit pissed of over that. They played that new song 'Here comes the pain' which I havent heard before. Overall the gig was great.I've seen Slayer at outdoor festivals but it's not the same when you see them indoors! Slayer still rule! I have the injuries to prove it! |
