Review
It was a festival called 'METALFEST 2001'. Behind the headlining Slayer, other acts were Sepultura, Machine head, Vision of disorder, Toxic smile. All of them were pretty cool, especially Sepultura - heavy as shit. But here, I'm just gonna deal with Slayer's first time live in Korea only After Sepultura's dominating stage. twelve speaker cabinets per each guitar were stacked up as a three stories. and finally, Paul showed up with his drumkit and did a intro of 'Raining blood' along with Jeff and Kerry's guitar noise. we all knew what's going around and went crazy.

I was in the right front of the stage, I could see Tom in my left side and Kerry on the other side. so it couldn't be better. Kerry had some technical problem for a while, but solved quickly, and they played Raining blood as the 'entire' version, including the driving part happens in the song's last moment. I was very amazed by that.

They went straight into 'War ensemble'. after that, all the lights were gone except one for Tom. He truly looked like an evil that came to take us all to hell. We all yelling 'Slayer! Slayer!' so hard that Tom couldn't make a speech for a while. eventually, Tom introduced two new songs like 'Disciple' 'Bloodline' And after those new songs, they did a 'Stain of mind' I've read some of other reviews saying that it sucks in live. but, No! I don't agree. This song is really great for going mad. Now I'm gonna write some best moments, 'Dead Skin Mask' was awesome. we all sang along the chorus part. In the middle of the song, Paul hitted a big gong cymbal, just like as on the record. and it sounded soooooo!!! impressive.

And they did 'Postmortem'. what a suprise! they hadn't play this song for a while. so I didn't expect this one. but they did and sounded so brutal. and 'Altar of scrifice' camed out right after. What can I say about this one ? of course, they played 'Jesus saves' for a while after that but suddenly, they went into 'Chemical warfare' and still sounded so heavy.

Then they're gone into backstage but came back soon and did 'South of heaven' and 'Angel of death' as a closing. They played all the songs really heavy, tight. looks like they've never got old. It's so hard to believe that Tom Araya is in his 40's already. I'll never forget his headbanging. After 20 years and seven albums, Slayer is still the one who controls the brutal field. Should be no argue about that.
