Review
First things first, I bought a long sleeve Slayer shirt for 45 bucks, which was worth it for sure cause it's amazing. Then, I had a beer, and was ready for the show...

Diecast: They were ok for an opening band, but nothing special. The crowd basically never cheered them on, unless the singer asked for it. The only time they had me going was when the singer said "how many people out there are ready for the greatest Metal band ever in the world" and of cource I cheered, even though I think otherwise.

Hatebreed: These guys were perfect openers right before Slayer. The pit was ok, nothing special. We had a few good circle pits going, but that was about it. The singer had to ask for it everytime, otherwise everyone would just be standing there with little minature shoving. Their setlist was kinda long as well, and I was loosing my patience.

And then came Slayer...

The lights turned off, and all you see is the stage looking like a chapel with "god hates us all" writtin on the back clearly, and on came Darkness of Christ. The whole crowd was just screaming, waiting for Slayer to come on stage. And they finally did! Dave played Desciple very differently than Paul it seemed, but he still played it well. How they played Desciple didn't seem as aggressive as on the album, but it was still good. After that song you could tell that Tom's voice was already dead when he was talking to the crowd. Mimicing with War Ensemble, and on it came. The crowd just tore up like mad just then and I must have got punched in the face a few times from it. The crowds effect on that song was unpresidented for this show. During most of the set I was moshing, screaming, singing along as hard as I could even though my voice went dead after a few songs. But that's the effect Slayer has on me live, to just go fuckin' crazy. There was a lot of old timers there I saw who gave me some approval when they saw me sing along with Die By The Sword, because it seemed like most people didn't know the old old Slayer songs, but them. But the pit was the craziest during Die By The Sword and Hell Awaits of cource. But biggest during Raining Blood.

A few complaints are that they didn't play anying off Divine! I don't understand why they don't play Ditttohead or something, or Killing Fields. I think they should at least play one song from each album. But I guess they had better things to play. One thing that was weird was that Tom didn't even announce that Dave was behind the kit. I bet most of the people there didn't even realize that he was at the show. I remember when I screamed Dave after Stain of Mind because I thought he did a good drum job on that song, some old guy turned around and looked at me like he seen a ghost. Also, it seemed like most of the people there didn't know Slayer's songs as well as I did. For example, it always took the crowd like 4 seconds to realize the song was over, and it's time to cheer. Me, after the last riff when I knew it was over, i screamed right away. An other complaint is they didn't play Captor of Sin. But I rather Chemical Warfare then Captor, so it's all good. All in all it was the best Slayer performance i've seen. It was an excellent show and I had a blast! I wish I was able to meet them.
