Hot news from the UK OzzFest! Slayer has withdrawn from the bill for this year's UK OzzFest. Kerry King has stated that Megadeth refused to play below Slayer on the bill, creating bad feelings (more of them!) between the bands. He then went on to say that Max Cavalera's band (Max, former member of Sepultura), Soulfly would have a hard time following Slayer's set. Which does beggar the question of why Soulfly (and indeed, the Foo Fighters) were billed higher than Slayer in the first place. It has been announced that Diabolus in Musica will be released with 2 bonus tracks in Japan!

As I said Diabolus in Musica will be in stores June 9th 1998. The Tourdates for the Diabolus in Musica Tour 98 are confirmed and listed in the Tourdates section. You can buy the tickets at a new official Slayer site called Slayer Direct. June 9th is the day of all days!

The new Slayer Album will be titled Diabolus in Musica and will be released on June 9th 1998, that has been confirmed by Columbia Records! I've also heard that Slayer are going to play at the Finnish Nummirock Festival in June! But I don't have the correct date yet, so it isn't listed in the Tourdates Section! And if I'm very lucky I can get some preview sounds from the new Slayer Album! Columbia Records will set up a new Official Slayer homepage called Diabolus.Net, it will be online soon!

I've read an article about the new Slayer Album in a German Metal Magazine. One of the authors had already heard an promo tape of the new Slayer Album! And he said something like "anybody who liked Divine Intervention, will like this Album too, it's not the best Slayer Album but really heavy". Well that sounds promising to me, I really liked Divine Intervention.
