According to RollingStone online, SLAYER will be releasing a whopping seven-CD and video box-set next spring. According to Slayer manager Rick Sales, the band is currently in a Los Angeles studio re-recording three songs - 'Haunting The Chapel', 'Hardening Of The Arteries' and 'Anti-Christ' - from their pre-Sony days on Metal Blade for inclusion on the as-yet-untitled compilation. The set will include all seven albums from Slayer's Sony catalog, beginning with 1986's Reign In Blood and concluding with 1998's Diabolus In Musica, each one in digitally remastered quality. Among the retrospective will be scads of previously unreleased live tracks, demos, instrumental versions and other alternate takes, according to Sales. Alternate artwork for each album is also being discussed. As far as the accompanying video, their music videos -- all of which are foreign to MTV viewers -- and previously unreleased footage shot on location in Egypt will likely make the cut.
